Favorites of mine include Gregory’s Gourmet Desserts that has the best tasting coffee cookies around and Carolyn Wong Cakes that makes tasty cakes for any occasion.
Entertainment, Culture and Oakland Homes
Either a short drive or within walking distance of some of the Oakland homes there is plenty to do. The Oakland Zoo has a fine collection of animals to visit throughout the year. While there is always some cultural event happening within Oakland. Oakland Greek Festival, Cinco De Mayo Festival, and Chinatown Streetfest all offer a great cultural experience to those living within the Oakland area. These festivals provide a great opportunity to try some of the cultural foods and see some of the great entertainment through the festivals. Oakland also has a great nightlife for those that enjoy going to the bars and nightclubs with Luka’s Taproom and Lounge, Pat’s Bar and Roy’s.
